Sub. : Open Selection Trials (for Seniors) for selecting Indian Judo Teams for the Commonwealth Judo Championships & Rajiv Gandhi International Judo Championships -2010.
Sir,

Judo Federation of India is holding an Open Selection Trials for Seniors on 28th (Saturday) November 2009 and 29th (Sunday) November 2009 at Sports Authority of India, Central Regional Centre, Gramgora, Bishenkhdi, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh; to select the Campers for the forthcoming National Coaching Camp and Indian Judo Teams for the Commonwealth Judo Championships & Rajiv Gandhi International Judo Championships -2010.

The commonwealth Judo Championships will be held from 8th to 12th January 2010 in Singapore and the Rajiv Gandhi International Judo Championships will be held from 19th to 23rd February 2010 in Rajasthan.

The following important points may please be noted for the selection trials:

1. The Selection trials will start from 9.00 a.m. onwards on 28th November 2009 at Sports Authority of India, Central Regional Centre, Gramgora, Bishenkhdi, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh

2. The official weigh-in will be held from 7.a.m. to 8.a.m. at Judo Hall, SAI, SC, Gramgora, Bishenkhdi, Bhopal, on respective date of the trials.

3. Weight Category:
Men : Below -56Kg, -60Kg, -66Kg, -73Kg, -81Kg, -90Kg and -100Kg.

Women: Below -44Kg, -48Kg, -52Kg, -57Kg, -63Kg, -70Kg and -78Kg.

4. Age Limit : There is no age limit for competitors, However, All such Players who are below 18 years of age; must submit the undertaking by Parents/Guardian; before the trials.

5. Without a valid Passport, players will not be allowed to participate in the trials, and the passport must have the validity of minimum 6 months after the events.

6. A player can participate in One Weight Category only. However, more than one player can participate in each weight category from one State/Unit, as there is no limit for participation of players in each category in the trials.

7. Participation is allowed only through affiliated State Associations/Department Units .

8. The Judo players who are working in Para-military Forces/Services Sports Control Board/Departments must participate from their respective Department only. They will not be allowed to participate from any State/UT. Those who are working in State Police Forces can participate from their states units. However, the Judo Players of Para-military Forces can also participate through All India Police Sports Control Board (AIPSCB).

9. The Players should come prepared to join the Coaching Camp after the trials, if he/she is selected.

10. A fee of Rs.250/- (Rupees Two hundred and Fifty only) per player is payable for participating in the selection trials as Entry Fee.

11. The participants will participate at his/her own risk. Judo Federation of India is not responsible for any kind of injury/accidents during the trials.

12. All the expenses (i.e. Boarding, Loading, Traveling etc.) are to be borne by the Individuals/State Association/Departmental Units, to participate in the selection trials.

13. The decision of the selection committee will be treated as final.

14. Dope test will be carried over soon after the trials.

15. Please clearly explain the above conditions to your player/s before sending him/her/them to participate in the selection trials.

Sub. : Open Selection Trials for selecting Campers for the forthcoming Junior National Coaching Camps and Indian Judo Teams for the 1st World Cadets Judo Championships & Asian Youth and Asian Junior Judo Championships -2009.

Judo Federation of India is holding an Open Selection Trials on 26th June (Friday) 2009 and 27th June (Saturday) 2009 at Sports Authority of India, Central Regional Centre, Gramgora, Bishenkhdi, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh; to select the Campers for the forthcoming Junior National Coaching Camp and Indian Judo Teams for the 1st World Cadets Judo Championships and the 3rd Asian Youth and 10th Asian Junior Judo Championships -2009.
The 1st World Cadets Judo Championships -2009 will be held from 6th to 9th August 2009 at Budapest, Hungary.
The 3rd Asian Youth and 10th Asian Junior Judo Championships are scheduled be held from 21st to 23rd November 2009 in Chinese Taipei.
The following important points may please be noted for the selection trials:
1. The Selection trials for the 1st World Cadets Judo Championships-2009 will start from 9.00 a.m. onwards on 26th June (Friday) 2009 at Sports Authority of India, Central Regional Centre, Gramgora, Bishenkhdi, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh
2. The Selection trials for the 3rd Asian Youth & 10th Asian Junior Judo Championships will be held on 27th June (Saturday) 2009 at SAI, SC, Gramgora, Bishenkhdi, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
3. The official weigh-in will be held from 7.a.m. to 8.a.m. at Judo Hall, SAI, SC, Gramgora, Bishenkhdi, Bhopal, on respective date of the trials.
4.Weight Categories and Age Limits for the events are as under:
A. 1st World Cadets Judo Championships -2009 :Age Limit : Boys & Girls 15-16 years old, born in 1993 & 1994 only.
Weight Categories are : Boys : -50Kg, -55Kg, -60Kg, -66Kg, -73Kg
Girls : -40Kg, -44Kg, -48Kg, -52Kg, -57Kg.
B. 3rd Asian Youth Judo Championships:Age Limit : Boys and Girls must be above 12 years and under 16 years as on 30th November 2009.
Weight Categories are : Boys : -46Kg, -50Kg, -55Kg, -60kg, -66Kg.
Girls : -40Kg,-44Kg, -48Kg, -52Kg, -57Kg, -63KG.
C. 10th Asian Junior Judo Championships :Age Limit : Men and Women must be above 16 years and under 20 years as 30th November 2009.
Weight categories are : For Boys : –55Kg, -60Kg, -66Kg, -73Kg, -81Kg, -90Kg
For Girls : -45Kg, -48Kg, -52Kg, -57Kg, -63Kg, -70Kg.5.
All such Players who are below 18 years of age; must submit the undertaking by Parents/Guardian; before the trials.
6. Without a valid Passport, players will not be allowed to participate in the trials, and the passport must have the validity of minimum 6 months after the events (i.e. till May 2010).

Black Belt (BB) & National Diploma in Officiating (NDIO) Gradation Examinations

To,The All Affiliated State Judo Associations, UTs &Departmental Units.Sub. : Black Belt (BB) & National Diploma in Officiating (NDIO) Gradation Examinations and Coaching Camp; From 4th to 8th February 2009 at Jaipur Rajasthan.
The National Black Belt & NDIO Coaching Camp & Examinations will be held from 4th to 8th February 2009 at Sawai Man Singh Stadium, Jaipur, Rajasthan.
The schedule of the program is as under:-
04/02/2009 - Arrival & Accreditation of Judokas/Officials05/02/2009 - Coaching Camp06/02/2009 - Coaching Camp & Examination07/02/2009 - Examinations08/02/2009 - Departure

Registration:Those who are not registered with JFI, will not be allowed to participate in the BB & NDIO Exam. & Camp. Coaching Camp:
It is compulsory for those appearing for BB & NDIO Exam to attend the Coaching Camp and Practical Seminar. Besides the revised grading syllabus, latest contest techniques and tactics will be taught at the Coaching Camp. Even those Judokas (above 15 years) who do not wish to appear for the Exam., but wish to learn new techniques are allowed to join the Coaching Camp.Minimum Requirements:a] Those appearing for Black Belt Grading, the qualifying age is minimum 15 years.
b] JFI-TC will conduct exams for contest grade SHO-DAN, Instructor grade Black-Belt will be awarded only to those appearing for NI-DAN / SAN – DAN / YON - DAN and not for the SHO-DAN Examinee.
c] The existing 1st Kyu Grade should have been awarded by a qualified Black - Belt holder of JFI and certified by the State Association’s Secretary/President. An existing Black Belt grade should be one recognized by JFI. The grade awarded by any other institution; are not recognized.d] A photocopy of the certificate of the present grade must be attached with the application form/original certificate of the present grade will have to be produced for verification during accreditation (on 4th Feb. 2009).e] Those appearing for SHO-DAN Black-Belt must attach the following documents along with application form:-
1] Past contest record (neatly typed): Competitions held before 4/2/2009, will only be considered for this purpose. The competitions are divided into three categories for this purpose. i.e. (a) International Championships. (b) National Championships. (c) Other Championships (like University, State, District Level etc.)
2] Photocopies of certificates earned in any of the above Championships. Original Certificates will have to be produced if required.
3] Those do not posses certificate categorised above should submit teaching experience in Judo, contributions made towards sport of Judo (a brief note).
4] Present grade certificate (photocopy) as stated above. f] Those appearing NI-DAN / SAN – DAN / YON - DAN Instructors grade Black-Belt must attach the following documents along with application:-
1] Detailed note on their teaching experience. 2] The outstanding performance of the players trained by him/her. 3] Present Grade certificate (photocopy) as stated above. g] NDIO is a post Black Belt Diploma. The minimum qualification for NDIO are:
1] Age minimum 22 years for Men & minimum 20 years for Women. 2] Must be 2nd DAN from JFI. 3] Must have played at National Championships/Federation Cups / All India Police Games / National Games. Based on their overall performance, successful candidates will be declared “B” Grade Referee.
Registration, Coaching & Examination Fee will be applicable.
Boarding & Lodging: Arrangements have been made for 200 Judokas and the allotment will be made on first come first serve basis. The rates for boarding & lodging (Break-fast, Lunch, Dinner & accommodation) per person is Rs.200/- (Two hundred only) per day including bedding. Four days Boarding & Lodging charges are to be paid by the individual.
Accommodation is arranged for all the participants at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium, Jaipur, Rajasthan.
You are requested to inform the name of the participants those who are attending the above Camp and Examinations to the President, Rajasthan State Judo Association the below address, with a copy to JFI Office, before 25th January 2009 for the smooth conduct of the event.
