Selection Trials (For Information Only)

Sub.: Open Selection Trials (Senior) for selecting Indian judo Teams (Men & Women) for the 12th Commonwealth Judo Championships – 2008 and Asian Judo Championships – 2008.

Sir,
Judo Federation of India is holding an Open Selection Trials, to select the Indian Judo Teams for for the 12th Commonwealth Judo Championships – 2008 and Asian Judo Championships – 2008; on 22nd December 2007 (Saturday) at Judo Hall, Netaji Subhash National Institute of Sports (NS NIS), Old Moti Bagh, Patiala, Punjab.

The 12th Commonwealth Judo Championships will be held from23rd to 28th January 2008 in Mauritius and the Asian Judo Championships will be held in April 2008 in Korea.
The Following important points may please be noted for the trials :
The Selection trials will start from 9.00 a.m. onwards on 22nd December 2007 at Judo Hall, NS NIS Patiala.
The official weigh-in will be held from 7.00 a.m. to 8.00 a.m. at Judo Hall, NS NIS, Patiala.
Weight Category:
Men : Below –56, -60, -66, -73, -81, -90, -100 and +100 Kg.
Women : Below –44, -48, -52, -57, -63, -70, -78 and +78 Kg.
Age Limit : There is no age limit for competitors, However, competitors under 18 year old must submit the undertaking by parent / guardian.
Without a valid Passport players will not be allowed to participate in the trials, and the passport must have the validity of minimum of 6 months after the events (i.e. till October 2008).
A player can participate in one Weight Category only. However, more than one player can participate in each weight category from one State / Unit, as there is no limit for participation of players in each category in the trials.
Participation is allowed only through affiliated State Associations/Department Units.
The players should come prepared to join the Coaching Camp, if he/ is selected. No leave will be granted during the Coaching Camp. In case of not reporting as above, the Judoka will be replaced by the second one without any information/notice.
The camp (for Men & Women) will start from 24th December 2007 at NS NIS Patiala, till departure for Mauritius (22nd January 2008).
A fee of Rs. 150/- (Rupees One hundred and fifty only) per player is payable for participating in the selection trials as Entry Fee.
The participants will at participate his/her own risk. Judo Federation of India is not responsible for any kind of injury/accidents during the trials.
All the expenses (i.e. Boarding, Lodging, Traveling etc.) are to be borne by the Individuals/ State Association/ Departmental Units, to participate in the selection trials.
The decision of the selection committee will be treated as final.
Only JFI Registered players can participate in the above trials. Those who are not registered must be registered before the selection trials. The Registration fee is Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred Only).
Dope test will be carried over soon after the trials.
Please clearly explain the above conditions to your player/s before sending him/her/them to participate in the selection trials.

Sub. : Black Belt (BB) & National Diploma in Officiating (NDIO) Gradation Examinations and Coaching Camp; From 2nd to 8th November 2007 at Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh.

I am happy to inform you that the National Black Belt & NDIO Coaching Camp & Examinations will be held from 2nd to 8th November 2007 at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh.

The schedule of the program is as under:-

09/11/2007 (till noon) - Departure

The following documents are enclosed for your information and necessary action:-
1. Syllabus for Black-Belt Examinations.
2. Entry Forms for Exam. and NDIO Camp.
3. JFI Registration Form.

Registration: Those who are not registered with JFI, will not be allowed to participate in the BB & NDIO Exam. & Camp. Rs. 200/- will be charges as Registration fee, valid for one year only.

Coaching Camp: It is compulsory for those appearing for BB & NDIO Exam to attend the Coaching Camp and Practical Seminar. Besides the revised grading syllabus, latest contest techniques and tactics will be taught at the Coaching Camp. Even those Judokas (above 15 years) who do not wish to appear for the Exam., but wish to learn new techniques are allowed to join the Coaching Camp.

Minimum Requirements:

a] Those appearing for Black Belt Grading, the qualifying age is minimum 15 years.

b] JFI-TC will conduct exams for contest grade SHO-DAN, Instructor grade Black-Belt will be awarded only to those appearing for NI-DAN / SAN – DAN / YON - DAN and not for the SHO-DAN Examinee.

c] The existing 1st Kyu Grade should have been awarded by a qualified Black - Belt holder of JFI and certified by the State Association’s Secretary/President. An existing Black Belt grade should be one recognized by JFI. The grade awarded by any other institution; are not recognized.

d] A photocopy of the certificate of the present grade must be attached with the application form/original certificate of the present grade will have to be produced for verification during accreditation (on 2/11/2007).

e] Those appearing for SHO-DAN Black-Belt must attach the following documents along with application form:-

1] Past contest record (neatly typed): Competitions held before 02/11/2007 will only be considered for this purpose. The competitions are divided into three categories for this purpose. i.e. (a) International Championships. (b) National Championships. (c) Other Championships (like University, State, District Level etc.)

2] Photocopies of certificates earned in any of the above Championships. Original Certificates will have to be produced if required.

3] Those do not posses certificate categorised above should submit teaching experience in Judo, contributions made towards sport of Judo (a brief note).

4] Present grade certificate (photocopy) as stated above.

f] Those appearing NI-DAN / SAN – DAN / YON - DAN Instructors grade Black-Belt must attach the following documents along with application:-
1] Detailed note on their teaching experience.
2] The outstanding performance of the players trained by him/her.
3] Present Grade certificate (photocopy) as stated above.

g] NDIO is a post Black Belt Diploma. The minimum qualification for NDIO are:
(1) Age minimum 22 years for Men & minimum 20 years for Women.
(2) Must be 2nd DAN from JFI.

Based on their overall performance, successful candidates will be declared “B” Grade Referee.

Registration, Coaching & Examination Fee:

1. Registration Fee (JFI):
Black-Belt and NDIO Examinees - Rs.200/-(valid for one year only)

2. Coaching Camp & Examination Fee
i] Coaching Camp Fee - Rs.1,000.00
3. Examination Fees
i] Examination Fee (for Sho-Dan) - Rs.1,500.00
ii) Examination Fee (for Ni-Dan) - Rs.1,500.00
iii) Examination Fee (for San-Dan) - Rs.1,500.00
iv) Examination Fee (for Yon-Dan) - Rs. 2,000.00
v) Examination Fee (for NDIO) - Rs.1,500.00

Boarding & Lodging: Free Boarding and Lodging will be provided to all participants by Judo Federation of India.

You are requested to inform the name of the participants, those who are attending the above Camp and Examinations; to the Secretary of Andhra Pradesh Judo Association at the below address, with a copy to JFI Office, before 25th October 2007 for the smooth conduct of the event.

Sir,

Judo Federation of India will be holding the Open selection Trials, to select the Indian Judo Teams for the 25th World Judo Championships – 2007, on 22nd July 2007 (Sunday), at Judo Hall, Netaji Subhash, National Institute of Sports (NS NIS), Old Moti Bagh, Patiala, Punjab.

The World Judo Championships will be held from 13th to 16th September 2007 at Brazil.

The following important points may please be noted for the trials :

The selection trials will start from 9a.m. onwards on 22nd july 2007 at Judo Hall, NS NIS, Patiala.
The Official Weigh-in will be held from 7a.m. to 8a.m. at Judo Hall, NS NIS, Patiala.
Weight Category : Men –60, -66, -73, -90 & -100 Kg
Women –48, -52, -57 & -78 Kg.
Age Limit : There is no age limit for competitors. However, competitors under 18 year old, must submit the undertaking by parent / guardian.

I am happy to inform you that Judo Federation of India (JFI) is orgainsing the 1st Asian Youth Judo Championships and 8th Asian Junior Championships from 3rd to 8th November 2007 at Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh.
For selecting the Indian Judo Teams to participate in the above events, Judo Federation of India is holding the Open Selection Trials, on 7th and 8th July 2007 at Judo Hall, Netaji Subhash National Institute of Sports (NS NIS), old Moti Bagh, Patiala, Punjab.
The following important points may please be noted for the trials:
1. The Selection trials for the 1st Asian Youth Judo Championships will start from 9.00 a.m. onwards on 7th (Saturday) July 2007 at Judo Hall, NS NIS Patiala.
2. The Selection trials for the 8th Asian Junior Judo Championships will be held on 8th (Sunday) July 2007 at Judo Hall, NS NIS Patiala.
3. The official weigh-in will be held from 7.a.m. to 8.a.m. at Judo Hall, NS NIS Patiala on respective date of the trials.
4. Weight Categories and Age Limits for the both events are as under :
A. 1st Asian Youth Judo Championships:
Age Limits : The players (Boys & Girls) must be in above 12 Years and Below 15 Years as on 31st December 2007.
Weight Categories are : For Boys : -38kg, -42kg, -46kg, -50kg, -55kg, -60kg & +60kg (Max 73kg)
For Girls : -36kg, -40kg, -44kg, -48kg, -52kg, -57kg & +57kg (Max 70kg)
B. 8th Asian Junior Judo Championships :
Age group for Boys and Girls :The players must be fall in the age group of below 20 Years as on 31st December 2007 or younger.
Weight categories are : For Boys :-55Kg, -60Kg, -66Kg, -73Kg, -81Kg, -90Kg, -100Kg & +100Kg.
For Girls : -45Kg, -48Kg, -52Kg, -57Kg, -63kg, -70Kg, -78Kg & +78Kg.5
